Carry a Notebook

Every day you encounter dozens of thoughts and experiences that give you hope, satisfaction and reason for living.

Then, all too often, you forget them at the fist sign of a setback.

Carry a notebook. Write them down. You’ll have a record of your inspiration that you can refer to in times of need.

Kalahari

“Kalahari”.  Acrylic 103 cm x 102 cm, this an interesting Painting I have done from the “Kalahari” desert, in Africa. Then I by imagination inserted a few Ostriches, with feathers and all. Not long after I had a message from someone in Kalahari, commenting me that the Painting was the exact picture of the place where this man lived, phenomenal, but true……..

Painting Tips

Painting Tips.
When using Acrylic Paints to make less mess and cleaning up after finishing the painting. I have been lately using paper plates instead of glass where I keep my colours. When finishing off for the day, you can throw the plate in the rubbish bin, hej presto, no scraping or cleaning. Lately, to go one step further I line the the plate with a piece of baking paper, scrunched up and wetted thouroghly to stop the acrylic paint drying too soon, and it keep the plate clean, ready to use again.

Ocean Rhythm

I have done some blending of Sea Colors to get the different shades, ending up with an Abstract Painting today

Once you start mixing colors, in Art, there is no knowledge how it is going to turn out.

Nesting Time

One day I found an old piece of Linen Cloth in the cupboard, I could not resist to turn the useless cloth into a Painting and this is the result. The Painting has been donated.

The Hidden Lagoon

This Painting I had a lot of fun with. It is done in three layers of Oil. Size 92 x 122 cm. It is lovely setting I came across and could not resist to Paint. Colors are strong as I like contrast in my Art and makes the Painting stand out and make an impact. I just love Oils because it lends itself well both to Landscapes and Seascapes and is so easy to spread.
